Dafür stellt der Bund 3 Milliarden Euro bereit, die Länder steuern weitere 1,3 Milliarden Euro bei. Das ermöglicht Krankenhäusern in zukunftsweisende Notfallkapazitäten, Digitalisierungsprojekte und IT-Sicherheit zu investieren. Dabei müssen 15 Prozent der Fördermittel für die Verbesserung der Informationssicherheit eingesetzt werden.
Even if the Hospital Future Act makes it easier to invest in modern technology, this is only the beginning. Only when management and IT break new ground and initiate a large number of far-reaching innovations can digitalization become an economic success that benefits hospitals, patients and employees alike.
