"Bring Your Own Meeting" (BYOM) is the name of a new type of meeting room solution in which users control the technology in the room with their own end devices.
The AV technology reproduces what the user brings with them on their device, placing them at the center of the workflow and making the meeting individual.
With conventional room-based systems, on the other hand, the meeting is controlled exclusively via dedicated devices - which means that the technology available in the room determines both the flow and the efficiency of the meeting.

Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) is a software-based room system that is simply invited as a participant to a Teams meeting. MTR systems transform small group rooms to large meeting areas into a video conferencing-enabled collaborative space with HD video, audio and content sharing capabilities.
An MTR-enabled meeting room enjoys the benefits of the Microsoft Teams conferencing platform, such as integration with Office 365, which facilitates collaboration within an organization.
To make it easier for users to use, we recommend using a computer that hosts the video conference and acts as a "complete system" or control panel with a screen, camera and microphone. This allows users to join the meeting with local mobile devices such as tablets or notebooks without having to activate their own microphones and cameras.
Both local and remote participants can share their screen and present content without any wireless technology or additional hardware.
