In collaboration with IT-HAUS GmbH , over 10,000 desktop PCs and notebooks were successfully customized and rolled out on schedule in 37 countries worldwide. Thanks to the expertise of IT-HAUS, the close partnership with the manufacturer Lenovo and the comprehensive support of the process, savings in the lower double-digit percentage range were made possible for the customer.

Project environment
In order to keep its global IT workstations efficient and secure, the technology group Heraeus invites tenders for new end devices every four years to replace the existing environment with standardized and modern hardware. In the process, IT-HAUS GmbH has established itself as a firm partner that not only sets up the devices efficiently, but can also roll them out across the board via a global IT service network. Through volume bundling and close manufacturer partnerships, IT-HAUS enables Heraeus to benefit from considerable discounts.

By working in partnership with IT-HAUS and providing comprehensive advice during the tendering process, Heraeus was able to achieve significant cost savings and obtain more powerful hardware at almost the same cost as the previous project.
Project success
The devices for the EU region - around 6,000 in total - were preconfigured by IT-HAUS in the in-house staging center and set up for individual users. The hardware was successfully delivered to the individual locations on time. In addition, agreed services outside the EU were provided by a partner network, with local partners taking care of both the user-specific setup of the devices and the delivery.
Matias Kodra explains: "Thanks to our team of experts and professional support, we were able to achieve savings in the lower double-digit percentage range and procure more powerful devices with improved service at almost the same price as four years ago - despite the massive price increases caused by coronavirus. In addition, we were able to successfully overcome pandemic-related challenges such as supply difficulties, and Lenovo was able to ensure consistent delivery capability through forward-looking production and warehousing."
